I don’t know when or where they did it, but this piece by Osgemeos is really cute.

I haven’t seen a copy of VNA 15 yet, but I’m looking forward to as the magazine just gets better and better with each issue. There was a launch party for its release at Black Rat Projects on May 26 for London-based fans, but if you missed out on that, visit VNA’s shop to place an order online or find the most convenient stockist.
In addition to Zeus’ large graffiti sculpture of the magazine’s name, Black Rat’s current show, featuring works by Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Os Gemeos and Swoon, was on the walls for guests to view during the party.

Are you a street art fan living in London? Then don’t miss the opening reception for Four Cities at Black Rat Projects this Thursday, May 19. Artists whose work will be featured in the show include Shepard Fairey, Swoon, Osgemeos (above) and Banksy.

The exhibition runs through June 23, 2011. Read more about it here.

I have no information on the above work, but will add it to this post if I get it.

(PS I recommend buying it if you can afford it, both for investment and eye candy for your wall.)

OsGemeos fans/collectors should be thrilled to see this lovely large canvas go to auction at Phillips de Pury this month. Lot 258, OsGemeos, Untitled (O Pai, O Mae, o filho, a empregada, a filha de empregada, o cachorro, o ouelhinha o gato e o passarinho), 2008, spray paint, acrylic, beads and incision on board, 200 × 200 cm (78 3/4 × 78 3/4 in). est. £30,000-40,000.

I also think the pieces by Guyton/Walker, Jules de Balincourt, Raymond Pettibon, Andy WarholJR, Jeppe Hein (second one here), Bernd & Hilla Becher and Philip-Lorca Decorcia in the sale are quite strong - click the respective links for more details.

I’m curious to see the work in Law of the Jungle, a group show opening at Lehmann Maupin on December 9 for those who didn’t get their fill of art in Miami. It was curated by Brazilian artist Tiago Carneiro da Cunha and features, amongst others, a number of Brazilian artists whose work really interests me: OsGemeos, Marepe and Efrain Almeida.
The show runs through January 29, 2011. Visit the gallery’s website for more information.

Wim Wenders is having a show of his photographs at MASP in Sao Paulo right now (Oct 21-Jan 16) & one of them features OsGemeos’ work from a tunnel they painted in Wuppertal in 2006.

Blu, Nina & JR also took part in the project: www.outsides.de

Photo from OsGemeos’ blog. See more photos of the tunnel there.

There isn’t much I’d recommend looking at in Dreweatts Urban Art Sale on October 21, but these OsGemeos and Faile boxes are nice. The estimates are about right.
